Readers

The readers assist the priest at Mass by proclaiming the First and Second Readings and reading the Prayers of the Faithful.  A training session is set up for new readers.  Commitment to this ministry invoices attending the training session, a yearly meeting, preparing for readings in advance, and arriving at least fifteen minutes before Mass on assigned days.  If a reader is not available on his/her assigned day, he/she is responsible for finding a substitute from the list of readers.  A clear, well-paced voice is an asset.
